Recycling Rescue

This blog is dedicated to the recycling that I and others find while out and about. Perhaps it’s the side of the road, at the trail head or in a friend’s garbage. The recycling featured in this blog is being saved form heading to the landfill, or from rotting in the elements until no longer recyclable. I have been "rescuing" recyclables for many years and I’ve now decided I want to quantify just how much I’m saving from the landfill to perhaps encourage other people to do the same.

Okay, So first recorded trip of many more to come.

This collection came from the biker/hiker trail between Hood River and Moiser, OR.

As this is Oregon.... I made $1.05 on the bottle bill value of these materials, and probably a couple cents in the scrap weight of non-bottle bill aluminum. (Tea, flattened cans, etc..)
